Hey, I'm Kelsea

MEET THE OWNER

Hi, I’m Kelsea, the founder of VA for the Daydreamers. I support creatives and small business owners with calm, behind-the-scenes admin and systems that make running a business feel easier and more organised.

While I specialise in the wedding and event industry, I am also deeply passionate about learning about different industries and supporting a wide range of small businesses. I help bring calm to busy timelines, structure to chaotic scheduling, and clarity to stressful planning, allowing you to reconnect with the work you love while I take care of the tasks you may not.

I work quietly behind the scenes to keep your business running smoothly so you can focus on creativity, growth, and your clients. I am genuinely passionate about helping people achieve their goals and dreams, and I admire those who take the leap to build their own businesses.

With over a decade of experience in weddings and events, a strong understanding of small business structures, and a commitment to continual upskilling, I bring thoughtful, organised, and reliable support to every client relationship. My goal is to support your business with care, consistency, and intention so you can feel confident knowing the details are in safe hands.

Here’s how the process works

01

We connect

We start with a relaxed discovery call where you can talk through your business, what’s feeling heavy, and the kind of support you’re looking for. There’s no pressure: just a clear, honest conversation to see if we’re the right fit.

02

We create clarity

After our call, I put together a tailored proposal outlining the type of support that will best serve your business, whether that’s ongoing admin, industry-specific assistance, or support during busy seasons.

03

We build calm systems

Once we begin working together, I take care of the behind-the-scenes admin, systems, and workflows so your business runs more smoothly and you have more space to focus on what matters most.

Let me tell you

MY STORY

I didn’t set out to build a virtual assistant business. My path began in floristry and events. Ever since high school, I knew I wanted to be part of this industry, originally dreaming of becoming a Wedding Planner. Along the way, I discovered floristry, and it opened more doors than I ever imagined.

I started in retail floristry and worked my way through a wide range of roles, from creating everyday bouquets to owning my own florist shop and freelancing for large wedding and event companies. My experience spans everything from retail florals to large scale events, including Magic Millions, installations for corporate brands such as Moët Hennessy, and working alongside major event teams. I later joined Roses Only, the largest online florist platform, where I gained valuable experience working within a fast paced warehouse environment.

While I loved every chapter of this journey, I reached a point where I knew I wanted change. I decided to return to study, not yet knowing exactly where I was headed, only that I was deeply curious and eager to learn. I explored Event Management and enjoyed many aspects of it, but I realised the corporate and hotel environment was not where I felt most aligned.

Feeling unsure of my next step, I chose to study Business Administration as a way to bridge the gap between where I had been and where I wanted to go. During this time, it became clear that I did not need to leave my past experience behind. Instead, I could combine everything I had learned with new skills and build something of my own. Owning my own business had always been a quiet dream of mine. I did not know exactly what it would look like, only that I wanted to create something meaningful.

I realised how much I genuinely loved the behind the scenes work. Planning, organising, working with suppliers, managing timelines, and handling the details on a computer felt just as creative to me as working hands on with flowers once had. My younger self thrived in physical creativity through floristry, styling, and coordination. The version of me today finds that same creativity in structure, systems, and organisation.

The idea for VA for the Daydreamers truly clicked when I noticed the same pattern among friends and colleagues across the industry. Everyone loved creating, building, and being hands on, but dreaded quoting, emails, invoicing, and backend admin. When I asked people who dreamed of owning a business what held them back, the answer was often the same. They were afraid of the business side. They did not feel confident or know where to begin. They simply wanted to focus on their passion.

That realisation became the foundation for this business. VA for the Daydreamers was created to support people who have big ideas, creative talent, and dreams of building something of their own, but need calm, thoughtful support behind the scenes to make it sustainable.

Today, my goal is to help business owners feel supported, capable, and confident as they build the work they care deeply about. I believe that when the right support is in place, dreams feel more achievable, creativity flows more freely, and businesses have room to grow with intention. I am honoured to play a part in helping others bring their visions to life.
